Tip 3 – How to help boost your immune system – Eat healthy foods!
Hippocrates said “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food.” Your food is often the first and easiest thing to modify to help improve your immune system. You’ve got to buy food to eat anyway so make wise choices including real, unprocessed, whole foods like veggies, fruit, meats, whole grains, and eggs. And cut back on sugar and processed foods found in bakery items, candy, and many boxed foods. When you eat junk food, you become full and don’t have room for healthier foods so your body isn’t getting the proper vitamins and minerals it needs to remain healthy. So eat healthy foods first! Although getting your nutrients from food is the preferred choice, some experts suggest using supplements such as vitamins (A, B, C, D), minerals, and probiotics to strengthen your immune system. The easiest step is just to eat whole, real foods.
