A health and wellness coach is a professional who encourages, motivates, and guides clients to achieve overall health and well-being through lifestyle and nutrition modifications. I am also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach through the National Board of Medical Examiners. I have received additional training, education, and have passed an examination to determine my expertise so that I can provide advanced help to clients in health and wellness. I continue to research and learn more for continuing education because I enjoy learning and want to help you with current information.

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationships cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? Is your spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health interrelated? Yes, I believe it is. As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. The primary focus of an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach is the relationship between food and lifestyle and how everything is connected for your overall health.

I work with my clients to figure out your own body’s needs because I understand that your life and your needs are different from everyone else and that they will change throughout various seasons in life and circumstances. I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself no matter what. I believe you are fully capable of making well-informed decisions as your own expert.

We will define what you value most and use that vision to motivate you for specific goals that bring you closer to where you want to be. As your coach, I will not dictate a diet for you nor do I sell food products to you. We will work together to explore why some foods make you feel better than others and how to strategically use that feedback using whole and real foods you buy from your local store. Together we’ll create your health goals within reasonable time frames and with actionable objectives so you know exactly what you’re working toward and how to determine if you’ve met those goals.

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and have been trained in over 100 dietary theories as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. My education and experience in the health care field as both a speech-language pathologist and as a health and wellness coach of over 25 years has equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention. Drawing on my expertise, I work with my clients to help make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results. We work as a team so you have a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, health, and happiness. In addition, I have worked with clients who have autoimmune issues, Hashimoto’s Disease, gastrointestinal issues like Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and IBS, and chronic pain. And I have also journeyed on this same path because I have implemented these same strategies for myself and family members as well.

According to the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC):

“Health and wellness coaches partner with clients seeking self-directed, lasting changes aligned with their values, which promote health and wellness and, thereby, enhance well-being. In the course of their work, health and wellness coaches display unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in their capacity for change and honor that each client is an expert on his or her life, while ensuring that all interactions are respectful and nonjudgmental.

Each session will leave you feeling inspired and motivated. We will talk about things beyond food, helping you prioritize important areas of your life such as relationships, nutrition, love, self-care, and joy as well as career, purpose, and finances. I will personally guide and encourage you to make simple, small changes that transform your life. I believe that small steps yield big results in habit formation. I believe you can be whoever you desire, but sometimes we all need a little extra help and accountability from someone else.

I would love the opportunity to talk to see if we’d be a good fit to work together. So click here to set up a free 20-minute consult. If I don’t think I can help you, I will recommend someone else who can. No pressure at all.

Nurture your life by nourishing your body, mind, and soul with healthy food, lifestyle practices, and daily habits.
